Steel clamps grip the bike at the footpegs, and it is steel all the way through — clamps, frame and a quarter-inch shank in the receiver. No suspension or tyres in the load path, so there is no sway and nothing works loose.
Get to your gear without unloading.
Stop for a break, load a cooler or unload firewood. When you need the bed, lower the lift, drop the tailgate, then raise it back up and keep driving.

Tools you’ll need
3/4 in. socket or wrench, plus a second 3/4 in. wrench to hold the bolt.
15/16 in. socket or wrench, for the anti-rattle hitch pin.
Torque wrench capable of 96 ft-lb.
Level, to check the platform sits flat. Full install steps are in the guide in the box.

✓Constant 12V at a 7-pin plug, on a 20A circuit or more.
✓Within your tongue weight: take the rated figure, subtract 70 lb for the Lift, and halve the rest for the bike limit.
✓Bumper clearance and tailgate swing checked against the dimensions.
